Kyona Vlogger?

Hey guys!! It's been a long long tiime.
I've been really busy and don't have much time. I do have a few ready I just don't know when I'll post them yet butttt stay pending!

On that note I've been into vlogs on youtube for quite some time now and I constantly find new ones to watch that it's become a daily thing ( I sometimes fall asleep watching an epi tho haha), So I subscribed to the ones I like the most and keep up with them.
A few that I like are:

  • It's Judy's life ;  I mean this family of four is just too cute, they have 3 little girls the littlest ones are twins and there isn't one vlog that they don't fail to make you laugh. *dailyvlogs
  • The perkins   ;  This young married couple is like the dream married life like before you have kids, I love the adventures they have together and the way they edit their vlogs superrrr nice! Desi and steven both also have a personal channel.
  • Adelaines cameraroll/Cooki3monster  ;  Adelaine morin, this girl is very young and so inspiring and fun. Def recommend her vlogs also!

These are just three, I also watch beauty channels sometimes not on a daily basis if you want some suggestions feel free to ask.

It has me thinking about starting a daily vlogging channel myself, What do you guys think?! I'll have a little change in my life soon so maybe that would be great to vlog.

Are you familiar with vlogging do you watch vlogs? Or would you also be interested or willing to vlog your life or maybe start a beauty channel?!

Feel free to let me know your thoughts!!

Adventure day!

Hey guys!

So about two weeks ago we had a school break and my cousin and I wanted to do something a little adventurous, since we also both really wanted to go to the beach we decided to go to banda 'bou by bus!
Curaçao is seperated in two parts which we call banda bou & banda ariba as you can see on the picture below, they are connected by the  Queen Juliana bridge.

Going to banda bou here on the island for locals and my family is a full day consisting of being on the beach with food (bbq on the beach is also possible), drinks, laughs and just enjoying each others company.
So for this little getaway we took enough water to stay hydrated which in this heat is superrrrrr important and food with us, we didn't take juice because that makes you more thirsty.
We had a potato salad with bread, chips, cake and on the way I bought pan dushi di koko ( Antillean sweet bread with coco's) for us both and a small pack of  the local & famous lovers juice for me. You can get pan dushi also with raisins or just plain, maybe you might see it looks similar to a cinnamon role.
For protection from the sun we used the Neutrogena dry-touch sunblock.

Our little adventure day was really fun and relaxing at Playa Jeremi. Due to bus hours and it not getting too dark for us to get back home we didn't stay an entire day like normally but we had enough hours to enjoy the beach, we didn't think it was so easy to get there by bus!! Might just do it again!

P.s. For more info I connected links to ' Curaçao, Queen juliana bridge, pan dushi and Playa jeremi.

Hope you enjoyed this blogpost!

My unexpected mini High Wine

Hi guys!

I've been thinking about ideas to have little parties at my home lately or just a little g2g with some friends, and I was already thinking about high tea so I did a mini high tea (wine) party two weeks ago which was really funnn!

So since I'm such a wine lover I skipped the tea and bought a bottle of wine instead and called it a High Wine party, it was perfect since it was already past the time when people usually have high tea parties which is between 4-6 pm and to my opinion I love tea but wine is always better haha!
It was really all of a sudden that I decided to have the party so I didn't have a table full of cupcakes, cookies and all that.
I had cupcakes, cream puffs, chips and of course wine.

For cupcakes I chose the ' Party rainbow chip ' from Betty crocker, cream puffs were from a dutch brand ( can't remember which one it was, sorry ), chips I bought the mix package with cracknels, Doritos etc and my wine choice was Frontera Rosé with the sweetness of the cupcakes this wine was perfectly refreshing and soft.

This unplanned mini "party" with just a few people was really fun and I enjoyed doing it, If you liked this little different idea try it out I will definitely do it again. Maybe you can relate to my love for wine I'd very much like to hear about wines that some of you like to drink so let me know!!

p.s. didn't take many pics so this is all I have from this party, will remember to take more next time!

Curaçao North Sea Jazz festival

Hi guys!

This summer is the sixth edition of the CNSJ festival on Curaçao and tonight is the 1st night. Big stars such as Lionel Richie, Mana, Juan Luis Guerra, Diana Ross, Alicia Keys and Janelle Monae to name a few have already visited the island. This year we have Juanes, Oscar de Leon, Usher, Enrique Iglesias and more.
This is not just great for a small island like Curaçao to have these big stars but it also brings many people from different countries to visit the island just to go to the festival which is absolutely great for our tourism!

Curacao North Sea jazz festival 2016 has already been confirmed and will be on 1st, 2nd and 3rd of september '16!

Would you like to experience the CNSJ while you can also get to know Curaçao? We'll see you next year in September!!

Get to know me!

Hi guys!

In my first blog post I would like to tell you more about me, as you know I'm living on a small small Dutch Caribbean island called Curaçao.
My family and I moved here 6 years ago, I was born in Holland and have always lived there. Being born in Holland I am not a official as locals here call themselves ' Yiu di Korsou' but in my heart I am a real Yiu di Korsou just like my parents and family! I've always had big love for the island and had been asking my mom to live here for as long as I can remember, till one year she finally agreed. Big changes happened living in a big country to living on a small island.. well you can imagine the difference. From wearing school uniforms instead of putting an outfit together every morning to speaking papiamento ( Curaçao's official language) at school instead of dutch, although the classes are in dutch but small things like that were so weird in the beginning.
Days, months and a year went by and I would still be like Omg I can't believe this happened were here now officially haha.
As I was getting used to the way of life on the island I started meeting people, making new friends and all that, I was also in my final high school year and would always find myself thinking about what I wanted to become.
Ever since the move I wanted to start a blog about my experience(s) but I would never know how or what I would really write about cause I wanted my blog to be more than just 'basic' stories.
So after graduating high school and studying administration for a year I found out that tourism was more what I liked to get into so I changed to tourism studies. I'm currently in my third year and just started a new job in a clothing store which I am really excited about.
As for hobbies and other interests; I don't know if I really have ' hobbies' but I like to go to the beach and listen to music in my free time, I'm getting more into my love for fashion as I like styling my mom and giving her advice about it, and ofcourse travel.

It's a new beginning of many great experiences, opportunities, knowledge, laughs, pains and most importantly finding myself more and more each day.

p.s. Questions are welcome.
